VM Image Backups

With no software to install or settings to configure, VM Image Backups are the easiest full server backup solution. Simply purchase the backup add-on for your cloud server and our platform gets to work!

VM Image Backups utilise ZFS and LVM "snapshots" to create an instantaneous point-in-time copy of your server's storage. Then, this copy or "snapshot" is compressed and moved to a specialist backup archive server, where it is stored on-site in the same data centre as your cloud server. Once this compression and move is complete, a further replication of the backup is made to an off-site server for the highest redundancy.

VM Image Backups operate on a weekly rota schedule, where the last 3 successful backups are kept in storage ready for fast restoration. An additional on-demand backup slot is available for manual backup creation, giving you 4 usable backup slots in total. A full server backup can be restored quickly and easily at any time through the ManageVM.net panel.

Note that VM Image Backups operate at disk block level, which means individual files cannot be restored - only the cloud server as a whole. We recommend you perform database dumps just before the snapshot schedule to ensure database integrity upon restoration - please see the FAQ for details.

cPanel Incremental Backups

cPanel is the world's leading hosting control panel. Our cPanel Incremental Backup solution is tightly integrated in to the easy-to-use cPanel interface, conveniently bringing backup access directly to the user.

cPanel Incremental Backups run nightly, and only backup newly addded or recently changed files to save storage space and bandwidth. Backup points can be created daily, weekly and monthly depending on requirements, and include all cPanel user files, databases and emails.

The cPanel user has full access to the backup points and can restore files, databases or full cPanel accounts on demand. In the event of server failure, cPanel Incremental Backups can be used to recover the cPanel accounts to their most recent backup point for minimal data loss.

Our cPanel Incremental Backup solution backs up data to a local on-site server, then copies the data to an isolated off-site server for the best possible data integrity.

Veeam Agent for Linux/Windows

Veeam Agent is an enterprise-grade, high-performance backup solution for Linux and Windows servers. Using incremental data backups at a "block device" level, Veeam Agent ensures fast, reliable and secure backups with minimal server load.

Veeam Agent for Linux is built upon Veeam's CBT (changed block tracking) technology, which allows the agent to perform incremental Linux backups of only changed data, and has snapshot capabilities built right in. Veeam's CBT kernel module gains block-level access to your SSD or HDD storage, rather than individual file level. This unique approach delivers outstanding performance compared to other solutions, and can even backup in-use files without causing problems for the programs using them.

Veeam Agent backups can be restored at granular file level, folder level, or bootable recovery media ISOs for entire server restores (e.g. from old to new hardware).
